Director Overview

Bring the Tumblebear Gymnastics program to
your Rec Center or Daycare.

Tumblebear Gymnastics/Gymnastics on Wheels is a mobile gymnastic program. In 2005 we celebrate our 17th year of bringing gymnastics to children at daycares, schools & recreational centers. We presently reach over 2,200 children in over 100 locations throughout Northwest Indiana and Illinois.

The gymnastic training of our adult staff is updated yearly. We teach a progressional gymnastics program for children as young as walking to age twelve. As a progressional program we teach skills from a beginner level through more advanced gymnastics. With a low student to teacher level, our students receive more individualized instruction. Our goal is to provide each child a positive experience with gymnastics. Students receive awards throughout the year for skills they achieve. These awards provide the children with a sense of accomplishment. Gymnastics is a great source of exercise and all children will learn skills that provide a foundation of fitness to help them in life.

The Tumblebear Gymnastic program includes all events of gymnastics for boys and girls: tumbling, bar, balance beam, vaulting, mini trampoline and air trak. Hand eye coordination along with body awareness skill is developed within this program. Each class is 35 minutes in length. Each class consists of tumbling and focus on one or two pieces of equipment. We bring different pieces of equipment each week to our locations. Each of our seven vans has a unique lesson plan. Every week we send a different van to our locations so our students are always experiencing something new.

In addition to our gymnastic program, we are now offering an exciting cheer program. Within this program our students will work on chants & cheers, motions, jumps, beginning stunts. This program work is designed to work with the tumbling skills that are learned within the gymnastic program.

We are always striving to be the best mobile gymnastic program in the country. By offering our unique program to the children at your center, we hope to make a difference in their lives by helping to raise their self-esteem and help them to realize that fitness and movement should be a part of their lives.
