2011/2012 Animal Habitat Gynmastics Program

Learning gymnastics while having fun is the basis of the Tumblebear Gymnastic Program. Each week our students will learn skills in Tumbling and focus on one of our major pieces of equipment - Balance Beam, Bar, Vault & Air Track. Our gymnastic lesson plans with themes keep our students interested in what they are working on each week. Being active and fit is important to the well being of all children. During one class of each session, our teachers will discuss, health, fitness and nutrition tips.

Our theme for the lessons starting mid September 2011 and completing in May 2012 will revolve around 8 different Animal Habitat Areas- Desert, Freshwater Marsh, Forest, Tropical Rain Forest, Tundra, Savannah, Wetlands and Marine. We will discuss these habitats along with the animals living in each - as a example - the weeks our students are exploring the Tundra, they will learn about polar bears, seals and penguins. Lesson plan descriptions will be sent home every four weeks to keep our parents informed of what our students are working on.

The Tumblebear Gymnastics Program is an effective way to help build the physical, social, emotional and intellectual skills children need.
